Join the Chartwell Conservancy at Random Harvest for a talk about Biodiversity, presented by Linda da Luca.

  • What is Biodiversity Gardening and why is this an important step in the developing world of urban conservation movements?
  • Essential elements to consider in developing a biodiversity garden.
  • Planning & putting it together.
  • Selecting the site and key plants.
  • Soil/fertilisers/mulch/rocks/wood/water – why and things to consider.
  • Plant placement & plans.
  • Pesticides/insecticides/herbicides.
  • Pets.
  • Learn to recognise & remove alien invasives.
  • Change neighbours attitudes.
  • Build corridors.

Size, pot or plot, size does not matter!
It’s the plan, no matter how big or small.
